Are you running Exchange somewhere, as well? I believe that calendaring is a
groupware function of Exchange, that IMail doesn't do.
If I recall correctly, the trick to calendars is RTF (rich text format). Something
about how if recipients aren't set up on the Exchange server to use RTF, they won't
get the messages.
