Hello all,

Well I had installed a copy of imail eval on our local area network to
evaluate it for one of our customers, the machine on which IMAIL runs is a
Windows NT 4.0 + SP5 machine running on a PIII with 256 MB RAM. Now the
problem is as follows.

If i telnet to the smtp port on this machine from a remote machine i get the
following instead of the regular lines.

220 ***************************************

when i say ehlo somedomain.com the error returned is

502 unimplemented command

Now why is this happening, I have not made any changes to the registry or
anything.. does any one know about this.. mail delivery is working fine, it
is just that no smtp prompts are coming.. when i say helo somedomain.com i
get the anser back as nothing at times and as helo domain.com..

it is taking way to long, but when i send the mail out from outlook, it
accepts the mail and sends it over the netwrok. need help on this.

Gagan
