No and yes.  IMail can use whatever certificate you give it.  But, the problem is that 
the webserver and your IMail server will have two different host names 
(www.your_domain.com and mail.your_domain.com, for example).  The certificate has to 
be issued to one of those host names, not both.  If you try using the same certificate 
on both, the one with the wrong host name will pop up a warning whenever anyone hits 
it.

Most people find this unacceptable, but a number of people will go ahead and get a 
"one-size-fits-all" certificate and try to use it on all their domains.
