You can�t stop them from attacking you.
The best defense is at some hop between you and them, preferably at your
edge router, filtering out their ip block.
or at an SMTP relay gateway like an IMGate, or two.
Any defense on the mailbox server will consume that machine�s resoures. Not
too bad if you have resources to burn.
