I'm using forms on various password secured areas of a website to allow
subscribing to a few "private" list servs. This is works well, but cannot
control the ability of users to sign up for these lists via email if they
know the name of the list serv.

I need to either:
1) Allow subscription from one IP address only (the web server)
2) Allow subscription from one email address only (security through
obscurity)
3) Allow subscriptions containing a password (either in subject or body)
4) Other means of maintaining security in allowing users to subscribe via
forms where it can be controlled, but not via email.

I do not want the administrator to have to manually accept each posting to
ensure security which appears to be the case with a "private list".

Surely this issue has been resolved by others on this list.

Thanks for any input.

Rick
