For a DNS from a mailserver point of view, we use Scott Perry's
http://www.declude.com/tools/dns.html a lot. You might also check out
http://combat.uxn.com/, and http://www.samspade.org/, and
http://www.geektools.com/, and http://www.tracert.com/, and of course
http://nitrous.digex.net/ for a great looking glass server tool.
