That's kind of like leaving your front door unlocked, and saying "Nobody has ever
robbed me before." As all those investment things say, "Past performance does not
guarantee future results."
A spammer *will* find you if you don't close the relay.

"Relay mail for addresses", perhaps with just your mail server's IP address in there.
Then, everyone else can use SMTP AUTH.

For free, you can have people use SMTP AUTH. I'm not aware of a pop-before-SMTP
option for IMail. If you don't want to use SMTP AUTH, we have a program in beta now
that will prevent spammers from using your open relay while not requiring any changes
to your users' configuration.
