The most common mistake when using makelist is not to specify where the
output should go!

command line should look like:
makelist domainname >filename
so:
makelist dan.ipswitch.com >dansusers.lst
will make a file, dansusers.lst in the \imail directory (since makelist
wants to be in this directory), and contain all the users from the domain
'dan.ipswitch.com'.

Run as:
makelist dan.ipswitch.com and you should see all the email addresses
displayed on screen.

Maybe you should include the command line you used, so we can offer
suggestions?
