Ken, 

Here's what I recently did and it worked great.

I added all the accounts to imail but left them all inactive.  I set the forward for 
each account to the users old mail address.

Then, when ready to move them to iMail, we activated the account and then deleted the 
alias.  That way mail was forwarded to the old account until we wanted it in iMail.

I created a batch file to set the forwards in imail (it's a file called forwrard.ima 
in the users directory).  If you'd like it I can send it to you.
