we upgraded a couple of weeks ago and had no problems, just one reboot required (fortunately the restart patch is applied as part of sp2 so you don't even need to be in front of the box (we did our upgrades via terminal services) - no issues to speak of. Imail continues to run as normal until shutdown/reboot time, the registry is not locked during the upgrade process. however for sanity reasons you might want to stop services etc before running it (although personally we did not do this) however, you need to be aware there are 157 post SP2 fixes as well ... see below * WHAT'S NEW IN SP2 All told, Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2) includes 549 documented updates--and I highly suspect that the service pack includes a few undocumented updates as well. As I mentioned last week, SP2 includes bug fixes only; the service pack doesn't provide any new features or functionality. Despite SP2's comprehensiveness, Microsoft has already documented 157 post-SP2 bugs. SP2 updates fall into 15 categories.
