I am currently using WebShield and Imail in the following config.

Webshield listens on 25
Webshield sends on 1024
Imail Listens on 1024
Imail sends to localip address port 25 (example 10.14.1.19:25)
(This is under the localhost:smtp tab. The gateway section has a check box marked,
send all mail through remote gateway and in the gateway box I have 10.14.1.19:25)

WebShield setup is as follows.
Under delivery:mail send tab I have 1024 as the delivery port. "SMTP service and
Webshield are on the same machine" is checked. In the pull down tab I have "Direct
Send and then DNS Lookup". In the Direct Send Edit Dialog I have my domain name and
my hostmachine.domain name (mydomain.com & machine.mydomain.com). In the DNS lookup
Edit Dialog, I have my DNS machines in order (intranet DNS entry to catch local
company mail to other servers behind the firewall and then our main DNS server and its
back up)

Under Anti-Spam Relay tab I have entered just the local machine address and again
mydomain.com and machine.mydomain.com.

Caveats:
1) Email client will have to be configured to send on port 1024 (or whatever you
choose) or you will have to put an allowable IP range in the Anti-Spam Relay block.
2) Email sent by a user from web messaging to another user within the same domain
will not get scanned. (Imail does its own internal delivery for the same domain, EVEN
WITH "Force delivery of mail through external gateway").
3) Webshield does not understand Extended SMTP commands therefore you cannot use SMTP
AUTH for clients sending mail outside your intranet unless you can configure your
firewall to pass through traffic on the port you selected in Imail (see note 1).

I think that covers it. You can contact me on or off list if you want further details
about my trials with Webshield.
