If you�re talking 100�s or 1000�s of hosted domains with good query volume,
I suggest you run two DNS�s as non-recursive, non-caching servers to handle
queries from Internet.
If you have big volume of dial-up or other access users who needs browsing
support and/or heavy mail/list volume, then I suggest you run 2
caching-only restricted-recursion servers.

Their DNS server runs only on Mac. Their Quick DNS 3.5 BIND manager runs on
Mac or Win32.
I recommend you run BIND8 on dedicated FreeBSD or Linux. The machines
don�t have to be as powerful/expensive as W2K boxes.
