They sure do. They'll list you're site if: 1) You host a site mentioned in the spam, NO MATTER WHAT. No if's and's or but's. In our case, it clearly should not have been listed, no less all 11 mail servers. 2) You (or a customer) has a mailing list that is not OPT-in. Meaning that if you have a mailing list, you must signup for it on your web-site. Then the system will send out an EMail to the user saying you requested to join this list reply/click with the following to confirm your entry. If your listserv is not setup EXACTLY this way, you'll get listed FOR SURE. Is the signup method bad? No way, one of the best ways to confirm the person actually wanted the list. Is that mail-abuse.org's concern? Hell No! They're supposed to find open relays, not convert the way people run their businesses. On top of that, you can't say "Give us 72 hours for enough time to perform the updating that is needed". They'll reply with "When you're done, let us know and once we test it, we'll remove you". 3) They don't like you, you'll get random listings for this. 4) A plethora of others. -Mark McDonald Siteserver Account Executive EMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Voice: 800.610.9856 Ext 231 Cell: 805.857.5614 Fax: 888.333.2710 -----Original Message----- From: R. Which of their database(s) did you get listed in for that? I had no idea that they listed mail servers that don't send out spam (unlike ORBS, which listed open relays that have never spammed). That definitely doesn't seem right to me. -Scott Declude: Anti-spam and Anti-virus solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
