Just a couple thoughts on the subject:
With unsolicited phone calls, usually if the person had previously ordered
something with the company, it is not considered an unsolicited phone
call. I'm quite sure that the U.S. laws make a distinction somewhere.
As far as how mail-abuse.org treats it, I do not know.
With a typical business, I would consider it kosher. The problem would
basically be if the people who ordered didn't remember that they had
ordered from that company before. However, since it is an adult business,
I would strongly urge them to be *very* careful with the E-mail they send,
to make sure it is "child-proof" (no adult graphics or language in the
E-mail, no URLs to web sites with adult graphics/language, etc.). One of
the domains we have hasn't really been used for E-mail in about 5 years,
and there are still a couple of addresses on there that keep getting adult
E-mail inappropriate for children. What would happen if
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" (an adult who enjoys adult products) switches ISPs,
and a kid gets an Internet connection with some_domain.com, and chooses the
username "joe"? He'll start getting the E-mails. That's why I recommend
being careful about what is sent.
