Most likely the user has a message with a large attachment or a message joke
type message that has been forwarded through many AOL users before being
sent to your user. The result is a large delivery header which causes O/OE &
Messenger to gag and stop retreiving the message. When POPing mail, mail is
retrieved first then deleted. The result is duplicate messages.
Access the account through Imail's web interface and look for then delete
the offending message(s).

Subject: [IMail Forum] Recieving Mail twice
>
> Okay my second question for the day. I have two users (I know a very
small number) that have been recieving duplicate copies of EMail. I know
that this is most likely an Outlook error but I want to double check. Is
there anything in IMail that states wheter or not a particular client has
read an email yet. I am gong to switch them all over to IMAP but I want to
get this resolved first.
