Hello folks,
is there an option with the Ipswitch IMAIL Server , where I can tell
him to forward ***incoming*** mails for one specified virtual mail
domain
to an internal mailserver behind a firewall ????
e.g.
The MX Record of the customer AAA ( mail.AAA.de ) points to virtual
mailserver of the IMAIL Server.
The customer AAA so far uses POP3 :-( to get the mail from his official
mail server.
Now he uses his own mail server for internal mails behind a firewall
and wants incoming mail automatically be forwarded to his internal
mailserver, but only from his official mail.AAA.de.
( The MX Record shouldn't point to his internal hidden mailserver !!!! )
So, how can I tell the Ipswitch mailserver:
- receive email for domain mail.AAA.de and forward this mail to an
internal hidden mailserver via smtp ???
This should only work for this particular domain, because we host a lot
of virtual maildomains and for other domains there might be other
needs....
Advantages could be: - centralized content scanning
- incoming and outgoing mail via one dedicated
server
- better control
BTW: Header rewriting might be another problem :-(, anyway.......
Is this possible ???
