Last night's Microsoft issued Critical update from Microsoft broke my Outlook 2000! Be forewarned. I went ahead and let it install the Critical Update package that the notifier told me was now available. Since then, some messages get to me fine, others have the body and subject stripped when downloaded by POP3. It seems to depend on where the message originated. I have an account on another guy's IMail server and sent test messages to myself from its web interface and they had the body and subject stripped when downloaded in outlook 2000, but before I downloaded them, I looked at them fine using the Web interface or another mail client. I then logged into a Hotmail account and sent a test. This message came through fine with 2000. Earlier on this list, Zirpner Uwe's post was stripped of body/subject when I downloaded it. Any ideas on what MS has done? I've never had to uninstall one of these Critical Update packages and (of course) forgot that my backup didn't run this week. How do I uninstall this pain? Any suggestions? I'm prowling MS now. I can't believe I did the one thing I always tell my users to not do (other than trust Microsoft)...never install an uproven update.
