By hack I mean compromising anything on the server beyond the intentions of
what the web server is supposed to do. For example hacking to a command
prompt, modifying files on server, taking down services, etc.
I am suprised to hear that this software has not been hacked into.
Is there anyone out there who's server has been compromised or has
investigated these issues?

It depends on what you mean by "hack".
If you mean Denial of Service, yes, IMAIL has had some vulnerabilities in
this area, but most if not all have been squashed with recent patches.
If you mean compromising of the user database and/or email messages, I've
never heard of any issues.
