It means that there is probably something wrong in DNS so the server cannot
find what it needs to establish a SMTP connection the destination server.
Let's see...take the domain name and stick it in a Lookup tool and get:
ePasito.com.
nameserver = NS1.LACURACAO.com.
nameserver = NS2.LACURACAO.com.
64.160.19.196
*OK so far* Now for MX records:
ePasito.com.
10, 64.160.19.196.
10, mail.ePasito.com.
** Yuck!! MX records with IP instead of hostname are violation of RFC,
remove it!**
mail.ePasito.com.
64.160.19.196
**OK, too**
Now try to connect to the mail.ePasito.com host SMTP service, using
Telnet... Not successful! Since that name and the domain name resolve to the
same address, even a fallback to the IP for the domain will fail. So it
would appear that no mail server is available!!
Just for grins, I tried port 110 (POP3) and could not connect to IMail
there, either. And port 106 (password server) was also not successful.
