Roger,
Does IMail deliver email from a local user to a local user? If it does, then
IMail is likely to be OK!! And since it was working before the proxy was
added, that would seem to be the most likely cause of your trouble! Maybe
your configuration of the proxy is not quite right?
The most likely reason for IMail not to deliver to outside addresses, is
DNS. Log files showing a delivery attempt, will tell us a lot. How about
some data to work with??
The Proxy might also be intercepting port 25 and performing some filtering
or otherwise modifying the packets bound for IMail. Fierwalls often have
SMTP servers, but I don't know if that would be true for MS Proxy.
If you tell us the name of your domain, we can try checking DNS and your
email server.
