I hoping that if I throw this question out to the masses I will yield better
results than the Ipswitch Knowledge Base...
I am having trouble Transferring mail as described in the KB article
IM-19991028-DM01
Basically it states that I should use IMAIL.EXE to attach to an account on
the new server (okay that works)
Then enter the POP3 information for the account on the old server that I
want to transfer from and IMAIL.EXE will go out and grab the mail and plop
it into the account on the new local server.
This is where I have the problem. Seems that every time I put in the POP3
info and click okay the IMAIL.EXE client hangs at the LOGGING ON... section
and locks up. I tried this in IMail 6.06 and the new 7.0. Same results.
Has anyone else tried this and gotten it to work? Is there a better way of
transferring the mail from an old server to the new one? (I don't have
access to the MBX files on the old server) I'd like to transfer the mail
without changing the time-stamp on it so logging on with OE and dragging and
dropping to the IMAP accounts on the new server won't work since that
changes the time received to the moment of transfer.
If there are any suggestions I'd appreciate hearing them.
