We have been running Imail for just under 4 years. Choose it after
testing several packages. When it installed and was running in about 15
minutes, I was sold. Our needs are fairly simple compared to others on
the list. We are a two year college (about 2 hours northwest of you)
with about 6000 accounts on a Dell GX1 desktop, NT workstation 4.0,
600MHz, 256MB RAM, 12GB HD. Maybe 350 users use POP3, the rest (mainly
students) use web messaging. Process about 110,000 messages a month.
We run maybe 4 or 5 list groups, nothing high volume. We never seem to
stress the machine. (We don't have the new web calendar going yet
though)
Are people happy with it? Maybe a case of bad timing on that question.
A new version is out and some are having problems, others aren't. This
is to be expected. I have not regretted my decision to use it and stay
with it. It takes very little care and feeding -- important if you have
other daily duties.
