Has anyone had a problem starting the Web Calandar service? Here's the "progress" I've had with support. My original question: We upgraded our Imail 6.06 to 7.02 (last) Monday afternoon. Afterwards, the web calendaring service has not been able to start with a "error 0005: Access is denied". Changing user names has no effect. We are using IMail v.7.02 on NT 4 sp6a with all known hotfixes. PIII 550MHz 256Mb mem 18 Gb HD 750 Users. Internal DB. Unlimited version of IMail. Have any permission setting on the machine been changed from the defaults since IMail 7.02 was installed? If so check what you changed and make sure that it is not too restrictive. Look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail and see what the permissions are on that key. You can do this with regedt32. Then look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IWebCal and see what the permissions are on that. if there is any difference between those two settings, set the IWebCal one to what the IMail key has. This might be a reason for the problem. What I would like to try next is to give you a user name, xxxxxxxxxx, and password, xxxx, so that you can go to this link http://www.ipswitch.com/support/Versions/index.html and click the 7.02 registered link to download a new copy of the software. I feel that the one that you received might have become corrupted in some way, and if that is the case this should fix the problem if the other solutions do not. Thank you, Cary P.
