I have created an html form for subscribing to a discussion list. It is
patterned after the one that Ipswitch uses. An email is created and sent to
the new subscriber for confirmation. When the reply is sent, the server
returns the following error: "Illegal IMail List Server Command!". I have
read the knowledge base and the suggestion was made that the subscribe
command must be in the first 6 lines. I believe that the problem is with
the ">" symbol that the email client puts at the beginning of each line.
When I manually remove the ">"symbol that is in front of the subscribe
line, it works great. I have also tested this against the Ipswitch list and
it does accept the ">" symbol.

Have I missed a setting or configuration to accept this symbol?

Thank for your help,

Dave Perry
