Due to circumstances beyond my control (read: management decisions), my
current implementation of IMail 6.04 consists of inconsistent user name
styles and no LDAP information, all on the IMail registry database. I
now have been charged with the task of correcting this.
I have a comma delimited list of 1,000 standardized user names, real
names, passwords, addresses, and phone numbers. What I want to do is
add this information as smoothly as possible.
I know I can add users using adduser, but that only places the user
name, pwd, and real name into the system. I know that the -l switch
will pass that little bit of info to the LDAP database. I also know
that ldaper.exe will pass information from the user's general tab that
includes all the info I'm interested in putting in. My question is, how
do I easily get that information to the General tab in the first place?
Or, can I put that information directly to the LDAP database.
I have attempted to solve this problem using the KB and manual, but am
left with the above holes. Let me know if I have missed an article or
page. Also, I apologize if this has been recently discussed, but I have
not noticed it coming across and don't see anything in my search of the
list archive.
