Most likely, the user with the 28 meg mail had received a copy of the 
magistr worm, and it was sitting in the mailbox.  When you downloaded the 
file, Kaspersky caught it.  However, since the worm was sitting in the text 
file, it couldn't do any damage to you (you didn't actually have an 
executable copy of the virus).

You did the right thing.  And, since you turned up clean, my guess is 
likely correct that the .mbx file had the virus in it.

Searching for ".exe" might be the best bet.  You'll may find a number of 
hits, but should find the virus more quickly that way.
