um, no. You must thinking about *nix. :)))
Imail stores tons of stuff in the binary registry. FUD/spin from MS tells
us this is infinitely better than human-readable text files that are
editable with any text editor, and scriptable, as you are looking for now.
MS�s architectural problem is, even with upcoming OS�s, is that their
innovative OS�s don�t provide any support for indexing or hashing of text
files. ie, MS DOS 2.0 provides as much file indexing as XP. :))
You have to have lightweight, free tools MS Access or SQL Server before you
can get any file indexing from MS.
So when MS themselves needed largish indexed files (aka NT configuration
files), they came up with the single-point-of-failure, binary,
self-indexing registry to patch the huge hole in their OS "thinking", but
it causes lotsa problems for the people, aka us, who admin their registry
and OS. So, single registry hosed = one dead OS.

Your best bet for this kind of "off menu" action is researching the KB.
Have you looked there? I don�t think Imail leaves any passwords lying
around in cleartext files.
