We are running a domain for a customer at our end on an IMAIL 6.0
Implementation with our hosting partner. The setup is as follows

We have allowed relay for only hosts mentioned in the accept.txt file since
we have other hosts that may want to relay mail from this particular server,
hence from the KB article, we can't put in an IP address. but we have added
the host name in our accept.txt

the host company name and mail server are also added in both the DNS and in
the hosts file, also the DNS entries are made as per the kb article.

my problem is that when the server (destination) is up and running *yes it
has a fixed ip* the mail goes directly to it, but when it goes off, I am not
sure what happens to the mail, it should be stored on our end, but how does
one check if there is mail stored or not.? << where woudl it be located.

An example. I sent the mail to a user on the remote network when it was
down, I haven't recvd a non confirmation, that means it is in the queue, but
the user after his machine came up, and also executed ETRN, hasn't got this
mail.

Can someone explain what is happening, the remote system runs ms exchnage.

regards,

Gagandeep
