Charles,
we had a similar configuration like you.
>From time to time the machine got frozen. (Only reboot helped!)
(It happened only when coldfusion wanted to send out mass-mailings on
the Imail-Server residing on the same machine via cfmail). We ended up
running
Imail on the SQL-Server. Since then everything works fine.
Imail and the SQL-7-Server together seems to be not a problem.
No CF is running alone on the other machine.
