It seems unlikely to me that anyone could create a directory named "com1" as
it is a reserved name, same as "lpt1", "aux", etc. Are you sure that there
are not leading or trailing spaces or ASCII 255 and suchlike characters in
the name? If by a method unknown to me the user managed to indeed create a
directory named "com1", you will not be able to delete it. Bonus question:
does your first serial port still work??
