In the SMTP security there is a check box that refers to autodeny hack
attempts. This will limit the number of concurrent connections to the SMTP
service. The person sending you a lot of e-mail that you blocked is
probably tying up the SMTP resources so it will stop accepting connections
until it deals with its current limit. Unchecked the hack attempts box may
solve your problem by eliminating the concurrent connection limit.
