Check out some of the business to business or wholesake CLEC's in you're
area many may be able to bring in "many" foreign exchanges over a single
PRI line to your facility. Each company may have differing options based
on their interconnect agreements with the ILEC.
I working on this now, and I'll probably have many Local-Toll numbers plus
some LD-Toll numbers also coming in on a PRI. Oh, don't forget to ask if
they can port your existing telephone numbers.

Check on two options for expanded long distance dialing. The first is
if you can get it from your end, there by expanding the range that your
number is a local dial-up for. Some telephone companies offer it at
differing flat or per call rates. It is a remnant from the old toll call
days, where there was an added per call charge but no instate/local long
distance per minute charge. The second and obviously less popular one is if
that service has to be initiated from the customers end. They have that
system here where the customer pays an extra 5 to 10 dollars and they get an
expanded local calling (About and extra 10 to 15 miles or so farther out
from the local Telco.)
Other than that you might inquire about a dedicated telephone circuit or
trunk connection. This is a much more expensive proposition. one other
option is to set up a strategically located POP adjacent to the area you are
looking to expand into. We researched this as an alternative to locating a
POP in an adjacent city at considerable cost to us. We found that we could
do a co-lo to a small town nearby, with it's own Telco, at a considerably
lower cost than a co-lo at the Telco with in the city and it would still be
a local dial-up for the same area of coverage. I think if you research the
local Telco areas of service and their overlaps, you may be able to find a
suitable alternative.
