Not a problem; everyone is new to this at some point. RFCs are the "laws"
or "rules" of the Internet, that define protocols such as TCP/IP and
SMTP. The server you were sending the bounce message to was rejecting the
mail you sent because it was a bounce message (from "<>", which RFC822
(821?) says you should use for bounce messages). The RFCs says that you
have to accept mail from <>, so they are violating the RFCs by not
accepting the message.
The RFCs define how everything works, but there is nothing that says people
must obey them. However, people that do not obey them run the risk of
having all sorts of problems. In the case of the datasilk.com people that
aren't accepting mail that they are supposed to, they got themselves listed
in a database at http://www.rfc-ignorant.org , so a lot of people may never
get their E-mail anymore. They chose their own rules, and they have to
live by them.
