what version of Imail are you using? here is a fix that can be applied to Netscape that prevents SMTP from Authenticating. On older versions of Imail you can also check off "disable SMTP auth reporting" in control panel | smtp Security. user_pref("mail.auth_login", false); Netscape Note: Netscape by default requires you to give a username and Password because it detects that smtp supports authenticated SMTP. Completely close all Netscape windows. Edit your prefs.js file and add the line: user_pref("mail.auth_login", false); Your prefs.js file is usually located at: C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Users\<profilename>\prefs.js This prevents Netscape from forcing you to authenticate -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Rogers [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2001 8:12 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Netscape and SMTP Try checking your flags in Imail Admin.
