The main concern is CPU usage, since virus scanning takes up a lot of CPU 
time.  The actual impact depends on a number of factors.  The most 
important is the number of E-mails that need to be scanned per 
day.  Declude Virus will scan any E-mail that is not just plain text 
(except for mailing list messages, which will get scanned once even though 
many copies may be sent).  An average server should be able to scan in the 
order of 50,000 E-mails a day, with a high end server being about to handle 
up to about 200,000 E-mails/day.
