Like others have mentioned, I am having problems with my systems being
overloaded with mail looping with the [EMAIL PROTECTED] address.
What appears to be happening, is bogus email is being from an
excite.com address (null from line); to the imailsrv address ...
imailsrv generates out an email with the help file since there is no
"commands" in the message, and returns it to [EMAIL PROTECTED];
which then sends it back to [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc.
Eventually,I'm finding that almost all of my smtp processes are being
taking over by this, and my regular traffic is just backing up.
The only way I have been able to block it is to turn on "Null Sender"
in the SMTP security, but then I'm noticing I'm bouncing other email
which might be legitimate.
I obviously don't want to block everything from excite.com ... but is
there anything I can do to have these mail loops just time out?
without breaking the RFC with "Null Sender" turned on?
