I am just guessing, but have you tried setting up a new DTS or DSN
connection? (I am not using the SQL database, but we had a similar
problem when we built a new commerce server.)

Subject: [IMail Forum] Serious issue: IMail 7.0.3 with SQL SERVER 2000

Windows 2000 SP2
SQL SERVER 2000
IMail 7.0.3

Everything "was" fine....

I recently patched my SQL Server 2000 box to SP1 and applied some MS
Hotfixes
I determined the hotfixes required using the hfnetchk utility

It broke IMail

IMail is no longer able to connect to my external SQL database

I have determined that all other applications, ASP pages etc CAN connect
to the database and retrieve data

Anyway, I assumed that the patch did not install correctly so I rolled
my system back from tape

I then rebuilt another machine from scratch, with the aim of migrating
the IMail from one machine to the new machine

This new machine has the same problem, no connectivity to SQL SERVER
2000 SP1

Is anyone aware of this?

fyi the hotfixes I applied were: SQL Server 2000 SP1, Q299796,
Q276471, Q285851, Q285156, Q296441, Q296185, Q299553, Q299687, Q302755,
Q292435, Q252795

I am now running on my old machine without the SP1 of SQL Server 2000

thanks in advance
