Title: RE: [IMail Forum] Listserv - how does it work?

bcc the list in the original email so they can't see the list's name, and/or set it so that only the moderator can post.  If you have v6, you can turn on the posters list which is what we use.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Listserv - how does it work?

Hi all..

A general question about Listserv.  We have a list that we have to take
off the server once a message is sent to it.  It appears that no matter
what security option we choose somehow spammers manage to find a way to
post to these lists.  So the only option left is to remove the list once
a message is posted.

Now-  I need to know when a message is posted how long is needed before
we can delete the list and still have the message sent to the entire
list?

Is the list read line by line or does the listserv compile the list and
then does not need it anymore.

Hope the question makes sense.

Regards,
Kami
