RE: [IMail Forum] blank messages from list server

[Fitscape.com Internet Relations]

We run 7.03 hotfixed etc etc.  I get blank messages from time to time.  Have
no idea where they come from or why.  To add to the list of problems:

- when someone uses any form of email other than plain text the trailer does
not get appended

- the other night Imail just decided to stop pushing email out of the queue.
NONE of the buttons seemed to fix this.  Stop and started services with NO
effect.

- Kept getting a bounce from a subscriber who was no longer even IN the list
text file.  Bizarre.

- Rebooted the machine and it seems to have fixed a couple of these things.
Our server is a really light load.  I hate to imagine what you guys with
heavy list traffic must deal with...

Hmmm.  I am on 6.06.  I've been holding off on the upgrade because of
problems others have been reporting.  UGH!

YES that is my current complaint with IMAIL.... v6.06
This is supports response...which does me no good since I run and integrated
Billing package that is configured for IMAIL 6 not 7

What I sent support:

I have sent two requests lately and gotten no support.other than a reply
that had a manual page that had little to do with my problem....the other I
solved by holding for 80 minutes for a technician last week for forwarding
and copying mail to another box.....

I have had a disasterous experience with my List server for IMAIL...

I setup a list and had 1800 email address's... In a matter of 45 minutes I
started
getting nasty responses... people were getting 3 messages in 20 minutes... I
only sent one message

What can cause this situation.. I send a plain text email and my test
account acutally got 5 messages
before I stopped and restarted IMAIL...

Is it something I did?  Is this common?

Craig,
    This is an issue that I have heard of in version 6.06, but I have not
heard of it at this time in version 7.03.  I recommend that you upgrade tot
he latest version.  If the problem still exist at that point, then I will
have to see if it is a code change that needs to be made, but if it is, then
it will be made in 7 so you will have to upgrade in any case.
   Let me know if the upgrade helps the situation.  If you need help with
anything, else, let me know.
