That is way when dealing with DNS servers, DHCP servers, WIN servers and
Domain Controllers; it is a must to have redundancy, at the very least,
2 DNS servers. Then, you would not have that problem.

There is a bug in Imail 7.0+ in which SMTP server fails to respond after
you
restart the DNS server.
It was tested with MS DNS and the time the DNS server has to be stopped
for
IMail to fail is still not precise.
But usually a 10 second MS DNS stop and start is enough for IMail SMTP
server to fail.
