Tim,
We are having a similar issue. Our Web Messaging Service is the one that
stops when ever it wants. We have about 25,000 users on the server. We are
running version 7.03 with all current hot fixes and Trend's InterScan
VirusWall. We have the server locked down as tight as we can, but it still
has a mind of its own!

Subject: [IMail Forum] SMTP stops working but shows running
My smtp service stops working every day or so and gives no warning. It just
stops working and starts storing everything in the spool directory. Anyone
else having this problem or have any clue as to how to fix it? I am on the
hot fix 7.03 version of SMTP. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if it would just
quit totally but it just stores the dang mail and doesn't deliver the
messages until I stop and re-start the SMTP service.
ARGH!
Tim
