It can take a long time for mail to get from the spool directory to its 
final destination, especially if there is a lot of it.  It can take up to 
1/2 hour (or longer, depending on your settings) for the first one to go 
out.  Then, for the next 1/2 hour, only 1 process will be sending out 
E-mail.  After an hour has passed, if that one process hasn't finished 
sending the E-mail, another will get started.  And so on.

A neat trick is to click the "Send All" button when viewing the queue (in 
IMail Administrator or web messaging) about 20 times.  That will start 20 
processes to send the mail, which will deliver it *much* faster.
