First, the "biggies" (earthlink, hotmail, yahoo) often have problems, and
it can often take hours or even days for mail to get there.

The problem here is that IMail's bounce messages don't provide much useful
information -- it would be *great* if they would include the response from
the remote mail server. For example, when we get blacklisted in the spam
databases (since we intentionally run an open relay, even though spammers
can't get mail out through it), IMail bounces mail we send with "unknown
user" (which makes it sound as though the user we are sending to doesn't
exist). If it put in the "550 You are blacklisted at wherever..."
response, we would immediately know that there was a problem on our end.

But, you can just look at the SMTP log file to find out what Earthlink is
saying.

Yes, it is
possible. http://mail.declude.com/tools/ptr.ch?ip=207.114.212.205 shows
that you have no reverse DNS entry (you can go to
http://www.declude.com/tools and use the "Reverse DNS Tester" to get there).

Don't worry too much about the terminology, reverse DNS is a big mystery
for a lot of people, even people who know standard DNS pretty well. Feel
free to E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] to ask about getting the delegation set
up; or, you could have them add your IPs to their DNS servers which might
be easier.
