dear sir,

i ran the following port check on grc.com. the result i got is as follows:

25
SMTP
Stealth!
There is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that a port (or even any computer) exists at this IP
address!

then i scanned the imail KB and found the following:

: I have a Virus program that needs to run on port 25 to scan mail before sending to
:IMail. How can I change the port SMTP uses?

Answer/Solution: You can change the listening and sending port for SMTP in the
registry.

1) Run regedit
2) Go to the path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/SMTPD32/Parameters

3) If you do not find a Value named "Port" on the right side, then you will need to
create one.
4) Click on edit | new | DWORD value - name it "Port" and hit the enter key. You will
then see a new key called port.
5) Double click on this key and change the value to whatever port you want SMTP on.
(Set the port number as decimal rather than hexadecimal.)
6) Reboot the computer.

i checked the registry. there was no entry called "Port". therefore i created one and
added it to the registry as per instructions above but gave it the std. value 25.

do u think this shud help.

thanks
