Hey Folks -

We have created an application which allows users to create their own
Imail mailing lists (lists of contacts they want to send emails to)
without using Imail's built-in List Administrator authority. Whenever
any one of our users creates a "New List" we write a new entry into the
appropriate file in Imail to designate that a new Imail mailing list
exists. EVERYTHING WORKS, except this one thing. In order to be able
to send out an email to their list, the Imail mailing list has to have
an OWNER, specifically [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can set this as the
default owner in Imail, but when we write to this file from the app, for
some reason, it does NOT give this new list the OWNER property. In
other words, how do we make it so the OWNER property is set whenever we
create a new mailing list externally???

All the files are being written to properly and we can add people to our
lists and they appear properly in the appropriate files, and even if we
go to Imail Administrator and go to Lists, the new List appears, but
when we try to send an email to the newly created List (for example,
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]"), we get the error that that User does not
exist. If we manually go into Imail Administrator and set the
user_listname's OWNER property to [EMAIL PROTECTED] then EVERYTHING
works, so it's obvious this is the only real glitch.

Does anyone have any ideas? We're SO close.

Thanks.

Kevin
