Hi,

I am new to iMail and am setting up 7.04 for a customer. I have
followed the list regarding virus protection with much interest.

I have been running a Mac-based mail server for 5 years now with 5,000
clients. We use filters to "block/reject" mail with .exe .pif. .scr .bat
.vbs attachments. It is very effective and the filters were free.

I understand iMail has the ability using rules to take mail with
specified attachments and "delete" the mail as described in the
following support doc:
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20010822-DM01.htm

My question is, instead of deleting the message, can we block the
message from being received?

BTW - only 1 client has complained about not being able to receive .exe
files. We tell them to .zip them or use hotmail if they insist on
receiving .exe files.

Thanks!
