Hi Lee, We've got around 1000 active users on a server running RBL and Anti-Virus without any problems on a low spec machine. Memory/CPU usage is running extremely low (on a PIII-550)- as you would probably expect. I've seen various people mention they have Merak running around 10,000 to 15,000 user accounts using the standard database option and an external MSSQL 2000 DB. The only complaint that both users mentioned was that the user manager slowed down with such large numbers of users. The comments were a while back, so things can only have got better (?). I'd recommend that you download a trial version of Merak and play with it for the 30 day period. You can run it in standard or SQL mode. One useful feature of Merak is that you can run the WebMail on a separate box to the Mail server. I personally dislike that Imail WebMail has to be run on the same box as the mail server. -Nathan Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
