Have you compress the directory where the mailboxes are? This could cause
Imail to show you more size than the real size on disk (But not the real
size of the file).

Subject: [IMail Forum] Upcoming fix for space limits bug

I posted a message here and with Ipswitch tech support last week about an
apparent bug when we tried to enforce space limitations ("Max Size" for each
mailbox). In an interesting role reversal from the usual, I didn't get any
reply here, but I did get a decent reply from Ipswitch tech support. Here
is their response:

Max Mailbox Size and Max Messages have problems that kicked up in 7.04.
In some circumstances these values will actually switch places.
(It is a great time to be in tech support.) This will be fixed in 7.05.
7.05 may come out late this week -- no promise.

This is interesting on two levels: first, that they recognize a problem and
are working on it. Second, that 7.05 is due sometime soon. This is at
least some consolation while I'm busy apologizing to many people when their
mailboxes reject message because they're full when they're not really full.
