It's unresolvable if you allow your to have 50 or 250 megabytes 
mailboxes.  what the killer is reading sequentially through a huge file to 
extract the headers.

I've seen this with the web interface and just 3K msgs in my 
mailbox.  Paging back and forth at 25 msgs/web page is torture on the user, 
can't be fun for the server.  multiply by IMAP overheads, even bigger 
mailboxes, and 10's of simultaneous users, and it really hurts, maxing out 
both CPU and disk.
