Hi Sanford.. It is true... for example, if you use IIS and turn off the server service, you do not need 10,000 client licenses to maintain 10,000 HTTP request and active connections.

Well I taught a Windows 2000 professional class and a NT 4.0 Workstation class, at San Jose City College when my students shared out files and they tried to connect to a workstation at the 11th connection they recieved messagaes that they could not connect. Again my recomendation was to use server. BTW: I attended a Share Point server presntation at Microsoft in Mountai View California, The presenter ( A long time Microsoft employee and manager of the Sales Engineers ) stated that we could use portal server on Windows 2000 pro, when I asked about the 10 connection limit in the TCP/IP stack, he stated that he thought Microsoft removed that in 2000 pro ( However it's still there ).
